A Chocolate Tasting Experience

A private, guided chocolate tasting for groups of 15 to 200 — led by
Lauren Adler, founder of The Chocolate Explorers Club.

Most people have never really tasted chocolate. Most don't know that cacao is fermented, or that fermentation is one of the primary reasons craft chocolate tastes the way it does.

Chief Chocophile Lauren Adler leads guests on a delicious adventure, tracing the flavors of cacao from farm to finished chocolate. Bar by bar she puts you in touch with your senses and teaches you to notice the flavorful details — the aroma that wafts from the package, the way a chocolate's flavor can shift multiple times as it melts, the bite that tastes like chocolate-covered cherries without a single added cherry — until something you have eaten your entire life reveals itself in new ways.

Guided Chocolate Tasting

How it Works

Guests taste 6 craft chocolates and one grocery store brand for comparison, guided bar by bar with commentary throughout. Lauren walks the group through a full sensory evaluation — what to notice as the chocolate snaps, how the aroma changes, whether the flavor shifts or holds steady as it melts, and how the finish lingers. Each guest receives a tasting placemat, a card with tips for pairing chocolate with beverages, and a flavor wheel to take home.
